Couples Therapy

you and your partner can EXPERIENCE MoRE

closeness, connection, & trust

Understand the patterns. Connect with each other.

At a fundamental level, we want to know that we matter to the people we love. We want to feel seen, understood, and valued. We want to know that when things get difficult, we can turn toward our partner and find someone willing to listen, even when our experiences differ.

But intimacy can be complicated. The closer we are to someone, the more there is at stake.

Maybe difficult conversations leave you feeling further apart than when they began. One of you shuts down while the other pushes for answers. Small disagreements become familiar arguments. Certain subjects feel too risky to bring up at all. Perhaps you miss the closeness you once shared, are struggling to rebuild trust, or are facing difficult questions about your future together.

Whether you're trying to repair what's been hurt, understand recurring conflict, or build a stronger foundation for the future, couples therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what's happening, and find new ways of relating to one another.

Areas of focus

Every relationship has its own history and challenges. You might be looking for support with:

Relationship uncertainty

Making space to explore difficult questions about your future with greater clarity

Infidelity & betrayal

Process betrayal trauma, navigate emotional fallout, and decide about rebuilding

Emotional disconnection

Rebuilding closeness, affection, and a sense of partnership

Major life transitions

Working through changes in family life, commitment, careers, or future plans

Making room for a different conversation

Our relationships are shaped by more than what's happening in the present. Earlier experiences, family relationships, and beliefs about love and commitment can influence how we respond to conflict, express affection, or ask for what we need. Sometimes, we find ourselves repeating familiar patterns without fully understanding where they came from.

Over time, couples can also develop fixed stories about one another: They never listen. I'm always the problem. Nothing ever changes. These stories may reflect genuine hurt, but they can make it difficult to see beyond the roles you've come to occupy in each other's lives.

Couples therapy creates space to examine these experiences with curiosity and honesty. We work toward conversations where both partners can speak more openly, listen without immediately defending themselves, and take responsibility for the ways they affect one another.

You don’t have to agree on everything or communicate perfectly. Through therapy, you can develop a deeper understanding of yourselves and each other, making room for differences without losing sight of the relationship you want to build.

Building a relationship you can grow in

A healthy relationship isn't one without conflict, uncertainty, or difference. It's one where difficult things can be brought into the open, where both people can be understood, and where there is room to take responsibility and grow.

Therapy offers an opportunity to approach your relationship with greater honesty, care, and curiosity. Together, we can explore what's keeping you stuck, understand what each of you needs, and work toward ways of relating that feel more connected and sustainable.

You don't have to have everything figured out to begin.

If you're ready to better understand your relationship and explore what's possible, I'd welcome the opportunity to talk with you
